Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By registering for or using Chez Vous ("Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. Service description

Chez Vous provides access to anonymised aggregate food intelligence data via API and a web dashboard. The Service does not store, process, or expose personally identifiable information (PII). All data is derived from aggregated, k-anonymous statistical summaries.

3. API key and access

• Your API key is personal and must not be shared publicly or committed to version control.
• You are responsible for all requests made with your API key.
• Keys may be rotated at any time via the dashboard.
• Rate limits apply per tier as listed on our pricing page.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer individual-level data from the aggregate outputs
• Resell raw API data without a written data redistribution agreement
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in ways that violate privacy regulations
• Scrape, bulk-download, or automate requests beyond your tier limits

5. Data and privacy

All data returned by the Service is anonymised aggregate statistical data. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your account information.

6. Billing

Paid tiers are billed via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact billing@chez-vous.co within 7 days of a charge.

7. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime for paid tiers. Planned maintenance will be announced 24 hours in advance. The free tier is provided as-is with no SLA.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chez Vous is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
